New Tampa Animal Hospital
About New Tampa Animal Hospital
New Tampa Animal Hospital was founded in 2008 by Mara Ricci DVM to better serve the needs of the community in which she had practiced for the previous 12 years. We are very pleased that many of our patients have been visiting us since they were young, and are always happy when new 4-legged family members are added!
Dr. Mara Ricci and her family reside in the Wesley Chapel area along with numerous dogs, cats and a herd of LaMancha dairy goats. Dr. Ricci is a charter member of the Pasco Hernando Veterinary Medical Assn. (which provides education and support for our community) and is active on their board of directors, currently as vice-president. She is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and is a member in good standing of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association. She also participates in a number of additional veterinary specialty and special interest organizations, as well as local and national breed associations. Dr Ricci was honored to be a recipient of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association's "Gold Star" award for advancement of veterinary medicine and the profession.
